Setting Up Google Ads In UpHex - Full Setup Guide
You can create 2 different types of Google ads using your UpHex Google template builder. Those include Google Max ads and Google Search ads. You can setup both types in one campaign, or choose to setup one.
Step By Step Guide
1. Launching the Ads Builder Tool
Go to "My Templates."
Select "Google."
Click "Create."
2. Naming the Template
Provide a descriptive name for your ad template.
This name will only be visible to you and your clients.
3. Ad Details
There are two different Google ad types you can create in UpHex
Google Search: Ads appear in Google search results.
Google Max: Ads appear across various Google platforms (YouTube, Gmail, etc.).
Choose the Google Search Network option. We recommend only choosing "Google Search Network". (only worry about this if you are planning on doing Google Search ads).
You don't need to provide a website or landing page at this stage. (Just leave that blank)
4. Crafting Ad Content
Headlines:
Create at least 5 headlines (up to 15).
Create a least 2 long headlines (up to 5).
Descriptions:
Write 1 short description and 2 long descriptions.
5. Adding Images
Upload at least one landscape image and one square image.
Follow the specified image ratios explained in the template builder.
6. Audience Targeting
Language: Select the desired language for your ad.
Keywords:
List keywords relevant to your ad (5 or fewer).
These are terms people might search for to find your product/service.
Negative Keywords (Google Search Ads Only):
Specify words that should prevent your ad from showing.
There's no limit to the number of negative keywords.
Ex: If I was looking for home buyers looking for their forever home, I would add the negative keyword "starter home". This would exclude 1st time home buyers from seeing my ads.
Targeting Options:
User Interest & Market: Target people actively searching for your product/service.
Affinity: Target people with a long-time/vested interest in your topic.
Life Events & Detailed Demographics: Use these options cautiously or leave them blank if not relevant.
7. Saving the Template
Click "Save Template."
The Google ad template will be available in your template library for you and your clients to launch.
