How to Push Facebook Leads to GoHighLevel Through UpHex

When someone fills out your Facebook Lead Form, UpHex can automatically send that lead to your GoHighLevel (GHL) account — with the right tag — so your automations fire instantly.

This guide walks you through:

  1. Setting up your GoHighLevel integration

  2. Understanding how tags work

  3. Adding custom tags and automations

⚠️ Important Note About Facebook Form Questions

If your Facebook lead form includes extra custom questions (other than the typical name, phone, email etc), those answers will not get pushed into GoHighLevel through this process.

👉 If collecting those answers is important to you, you’ll need to use the Facebook Form Fields Mapping option instead.

However, if your form doesn’t include extra questions, or if you just added them for friction (to improve lead quality) and knowing the answers isn't super important to you or your clients, then pushing leads directly through UpHex is a great option as it requires less maintenance and is easier to setup.

🧩 Step 1: Connect GoHighLevel to UpHex

Before UpHex can push leads into GHL, make sure your integration is connected.

1. Open Settings

  • Go to the bottom-left corner of your UpHex dashboard.

  • Click Settings.

2. Select Integrations

  • At the top of the Settings menu, click Integrations.

  • Scroll down to find the GoHighLevel section.

3. Connect Your Account

  • Click Connect

4. Confirm the App Install

  • You may need to log into your GHL account. Click log in. You'll be redirected to login to GHL

  • After you log in go back to the tab that says GoHighLevel Marketplace.

  • Review the UpHex app details.

  • Click Next to confirm the installation.

5. Choose Your Agency

When prompted:

  • Under Agency, select your entire agency (not a single sub-account).

  • Check the box for Install under all locations.

  • Also check Enable automatic installation to future locations.

This ensures UpHex can push leads to all current and future sub-accounts automatically.

6. Click Proceed

That’s it — your accounts are now connected!

⚙️ Step 2: Enable Lead Pushing in UpHex

Once connected, make sure lead pushing is turned on.

  1. Go back to Settings.

  2. Click Customizations at the top.

  3. Scroll to UpHex Settings.

  4. Turn on Push Leads to GHL.

  5. Click Save Changes.

Now your UpHex account can send new Facebook leads to GoHighLevel automatically.

NOTE: This automated lead push works only with Lead Gen Ads and EZ Page ads.

🏷 Step 3: How UpHex Tags Your Leads

Every time a lead is pushed to GHL, UpHex automatically tags it based on your ad template.

  1. Go to the Template Library.

  2. Click Edit on any template.

  3. Under Step 1: Template Info, you’ll see your Template Name.

That Template Name is the default tag UpHex adds to the lead in GoHighLevel.
Example:
If your template is named Back Pain Relief Offer, that’s the tag your lead will get in GHL.

✏️ Step 4: Add Custom Tags

Want to trigger different automations? You can add custom tags too.

  1. In your ad template, go to Step 1: Template Info.

  2. Scroll down and click Additional Settings.

  3. Find the section called GoHighLevel Tags.

  4. Type in your extra tags, separated by commas.

Example: facebook lead, back pain

This would apply both tags — “facebook lead” and “back pain” — to your new lead.

⚡ Step 5: Create Automations in GoHighLevel

Now that UpHex sends tagged leads to GHL, it’s time to make those tags trigger automations.

  • In GHL, go to Automations.

  • Create a new Workflow (or edit an existing one).

  • Add a Trigger for Tag Added.

  • Choose your triggering action as tag added

    • Template Name tag

    • Or any custom tag you added in UpHex

Adjust the trigger to say "Tag added" and then select your tag and his save.

Build Out Your Workflow

When creating that workflow, you can set up anything you want the GoHighLevel system to automate.

For example:

  • Notify your clients when a new lead comes in

  • Add the lead to an opportunity pipeline

  • Send the lead a text and an email right away

You can include one or all of these steps — it’s totally up to your workflow strategy and how you want to manage new leads.
