How to Optimize Your Campaigns for Andromeda
Facebook recently released a new ad algorithm called Andromeda, and it’s changing the way we recommend setting up your ad templates.
Basically, Andromeda is telling advertisers, “We’re smart enough to figure out who your leads are — just give us the information we need.”
That means the old way of building ads — creating one campaign for one audience with a few similar images — is out.
Now, Facebook wants you to include multiple avatars (audience types) and a variety of image and copy options within the same template. This gives Andromeda room to test, mix, and match your creative assets so it can automatically find the best combinations that drive results.
We’ve created this article to show you exactly how to set up your ad templates for success under the new Andromeda system.
Step 1: Turn On Dynamic Creative
Start by going to your Campaign Settings and turning on Dynamic Creative.
This feature allows Facebook to mix and match your ad assets — headlines, copy, and images — to find the best combinations for each audience.
Step 2: Add Multiple Variations
Once Dynamic Creative is enabled, you’ll see new options in Step 2 of your campaign setup.
You can now add:
Multiple headlines
Different link descriptions
Several versions of your ad copy
The goal is to give Facebook more options to test and automatically tailor ads for each audience type.
Step 3: Think in Avatars (Audience Types) or Different Ad Emotional Angles, etc.
Instead of creating just one generic ad, think about the different emotions, avatars or customer types who might be interested in your offer.
Even if the offer stays the same, you can write your copy to speak directly to each group.
Example Offer
$47 for two knee sessions and an evaluation
Avatar 1: Older Adults
Who they are: Grandparents and older adults who want to stay active and keep up with life.
Their challenge: Knee pain slowing them down.
Example Ad Setup:
Headline: $47 Non-Surgical Knee Pain Relief
Link Description: Two therapy sessions — limited availability for ages 50+
Primary Text:
“Knee pain slowing you down around the grandkids? You’re not alone. Skip surgery and medication — get a complete knee evaluation, digital assessment, and two gentle, non-surgical sessions for just $47. Stay active and pain-free!”
Avatar 2: Active People (Runners & Gym-Goers)
Who they are: Marathon runners and fitness enthusiasts.
Their challenge: Knee pain interrupting their training.
Example Ad Setup:
Headline: $47 Knee Pain Special for Runners
Link Description: Two decompression sessions — limited spots for runners
Primary Text:
“Training for a race or just love your daily miles? Don’t let knee pain ruin your rhythm. Get our Runners-Only Decompression Special — two non-surgical sessions for $47!”
Avatar 3: Natural/“Crunchy” Audience
Who they are: People who prefer natural healing methods.
Their challenge: Avoiding medication, shots, or surgery.
Example Ad Setup:
Headline: Natural Knee Pain Relief — $47 for Two Sessions
Link Description: No shots. No surgery. Just gentle, root-cause healing.
Primary Text:
“Want to fix knee pain naturally? If you’ve tried stretching or just pushing through the pain, this is for you. Get a holistic knee evaluation, mobility scan, and two natural relief sessions — all for $47.”
Step 4: Match Visuals to Avatars
Use different images and videos for each audience:
Natural/holistic group: Calming or nature-inspired visuals
Runners: Action shots or running imagery
Older adults: Photos of active grandparents
Facebook will automatically test which visuals perform best with each ad version.
Step 5: Build Efficiently
To save time:
Copy your base template
Update only the headlines, text, and visuals for each avatar
This keeps your campaign organized while giving Facebook what it needs to optimize automatically.
Final Tip
These updates in Andromeda are designed to make your templates more flexible and effective.
By turning on Dynamic Creative and tailoring ads for each audience type, you’ll help Facebook find the best-performing combinations faster.
