How to Use EZ Connect to Access Client Accounts in UpHex

EZ Connect makes it easy for agencies to get the Facebook and Google access they need — even when the client connected their accounts through GoHighLevel (GHL).


It removes the confusing back-and-forth and gives you a clean, guided way to request the right permissions.

This article explains:

⭐ What Is EZ Connect?

EZ Connect is a tool inside UpHex that lets agencies request access to a client’s:

  • Facebook Page

  • Facebook Ad Account

  • Google Ads Account

…directly from the UpHex dashboard.

This is helpful because clients often connect to UpHex through GHL, which lets them run ads but does not give the agency the permissions needed for:

  • Checking account quality

  • Installing or editing pixels

  • Reviewing billing or payment issues

  • Troubleshooting inside Facebook or Google

EZ Connect solves that by sending simple access requests — no more digging through Business Manager menus or guessing what to click.


🧩 Understanding Roles: Agency vs. Client

Client’s Role

The client only needs to:

  • Connect their Facebook/Google accounts to UpHex

  • Approve the access request (one click through email or deep link)

That’s it.
Once they approve, you handle the rest.

Agency’s Role

As the agency, you will:

  • Request access using EZ Connect

  • Accept the access once approved

  • Assign the appropriate people inside your Business Manager

  • Manage and optimize the account moving forward

EZ Connect gives you the permissions needed to do your job — without constantly asking the client to hunt down settings they don’t understand.


🚀 How to Use EZ Connect

You can use EZ Connect even if the client connected themselves through GHL.
The process happens inside the UpHex dashboard.


Step 1: Go to the Client’s Integrations Tab

  1. Open the client inside your UpHex Dashboard

  2. Click Integrations

You’ll now see:

  • Their connected Facebook Page

  • Their Facebook Ad Account

  • Their Google Ad Account

Each asset has a small arrow icon — this is the EZ Connect button.


Step 2: Request Access

🔵 Request Access to Google Ads

  1. Click the arrow next to the Google Ads account.

  2. UpHex sends a request to Google automatically.

  3. Google emails the agency owner.

  4. Click the link in the email → access granted.

If you already have access, UpHex will tell you.


🔵 Request Access to the Facebook Page (Automatic)

Clicking the arrow next to the Facebook Page:

  • Automatically grants your agency Partner Access

  • No approval needed

  • No waiting

You now have Page access immediately.


🔵 Request Access to the Facebook Ad Account

Facebook requires extra steps, so UpHex gives you a guided workflow.

When you click the arrow next to the ad account:

  1. UpHex gives you the client’s Ad Account ID

  2. UpHex gives you a button to open your Agency Business Manager

  3. Inside Business Manager:

    • Click Add

    • Choose Request Access to an Ad Account

    • Enter the Ad Account ID

    • Choose Full Control

    • Click Confirm

Facebook now sends your client a request.


Step 3: Help the Client Approve the Request

Facebook emails the client — but clients often ignore or miss these emails.

So UpHex also gives you a deep link.

  1. Copy the approval link UpHex provides

  2. Send it to your client via text, email, or messenger

  3. They click → they see the request → they click Approve

Done.


Step 4: Assign People in Your Business Manager (Important!)

This is a Facebook quirk.

Even after assets appear in your Business Manager, Facebook requires you to manually assign people before anyone can actually access the assets.

Do this for both the Page and the Ad Account:

  1. Go to Business Settings (business.facebook.com/settings)

  2. Select the Page or Ad Account

  3. Click Assign People

  4. Choose your team members

  5. Turn on Full Control

  6. Click Assign

Now your team can work normally.


🎉 You’re Fully Connected!

After the client approves and you assign your team, you can:

  • Review account quality

  • Create pixels

  • Manage billing problems

  • Etc.

EZ Connect removes confusion and keeps everything clean and organized for both you and your clients.
