Connecting UpHex to GoHighLevel

This guide will walk you through setting up a custom menu link in your GoHighLevel account to connect with your UpHex account and onboard your clients with.

Step 1: Create a Custom Menu Link

  1. Log in to your GoHighLevel account and switch to Agency View.

  2. Go to Settings > Custom Menu Links.

  3. Click Create New.

  4. Choose an icon for your custom menu link.

  5. Enter a title for the link (e.g., "Manage Ads," "Easy Ads," "Launch Ads"). Important: Do not use "UpHex" as the title, you'll want to white label this.

  6. In your UpHex account, go to Preferences > HighLevel and copy the Custom Menu Link URL.

  7. Paste the copied URL into the Link URL field in your GoHighLevel account.

  8. Under Sidebar Preference, uncheck Agency Sidebar and leave Sub-account Sidebar checked.

  9. Select all or specific sub-accounts that you want to have access to this link.

  10. Under Role-Based Visibility, choose the user roles that should have access to the link (e.g., all users, admins only).

  11. Leave Permissions off.

  12. Click Save.

Step 2: Connect Your Clients

  1. Go to a sub-account where you want to connect a client.

  2. Click on the custom menu link you created (e.g., "Manage Ads").

  3. Enter the client's business name and click Next.

  4. This will take you to the Integrations section.

  5. Click Facebook > Connect.

  6. Log in to the Facebook account that has access to the ad account and page you want to use to run ads.

  7. Choose "opt-in to all current and future businesses" to grant UpHex the necessary permissions. (While optional, this is recommended to avoid future access issues.)

  8. Click Continue and repeat the opt-in process for current and future pages.

  9. Click Save to grant UpHex access to Ads Launcher.

  10. Select the ad account and Facebook page you want to use for running the client's ads and click Save.

  11. Repeat the process for Google Ads by clicking Google > Connect and following the prompts to grant UpHex access to the client's Google Ads account.

Step 3: Check for Errors

  1. Go to the UpHex Dashboard in the client's sub-account and check for any errors that might prevent ads from running.

  2. If there are errors, UpHex will provide a direct link to fix them.

  3. Once the errors are resolved, refresh the dashboard to update the status.

Step 4: Launch Ads

  • You can now launch ads for your client either through the GoHighLevel sub-account or through the My Clients section in your UpHex account.

Important Notes for GoHighLevel Users:

  • Do not create clients directly in your UpHex account. Always connect them through your GoHighLevel account.

  • If you accidentally create a client in UpHex, you can remove them by going to Clients > [Client Name] > Settings > Remove.

  • You can customize the options your clients see in their UpHex portal by going to Preferences > HighLevel in your UpHex account.

  • Make sure the Push Leads to GHL option is checked in your UpHex preferences to ensure leads are pushed into your client's GoHighLevel sub-account.

By following these steps, you can successfully integrate your GoHighLevel account with UpHex and streamline your ad management process for your clients.
